Two EM Strasbourg Business School Students Awarded Recognition at a Nation-Wide Professional Ethics Competition

Publié le August 20, 2014, Mis à jour le January 13, 2016

Corentin Pardoëns and Pierre Eugène, two students on the Grande Ecole programme at EM Strasbourg Business School, have been awarded the « diploma » issued by Rotary International for its French Professional Ethics Competition.

As a requirement of the French Professional Ethics Competition, Corentin Pardoëns and Pierre Eugène, who are both enrolled on EM Strasbourg’s Grande Ecole programme, were tasked with writing a theme-based essay on ethics.

The competition was jointly organised by the French Rotary districts and the Grandes Écoles Conference under the high patronage of Unesco’s French National Commission. It is intended to prompt students to ponder the role of professional ethics by projecting themselves into the future and to conjure up the kind of business world and society in which they will operate both as practitioners and citizens.

Corentin and Pierre rose up to the challenge and came out victorious since they were selected at the regional level and awarded a national « diploma » for their essays entitled « Ethics and Diversity » and « Ethics in an Era of Labour Division ».

With 700 students taking part in this year’s competition, the awards meted out at the national level included 15 special Jury commendations, 23 commendations and 11 diplomas.
