Toushanscène Competition: EM Strasbourg Business School Awarded the 2013 Best Initiative Prize!

Publié le May 24, 2013, Mis à jour le June 18, 2014

Five students from EM Strasbourg Business School won the 2013 Best Initiative Prize in the competition organised by the Tremplin association, which rewards participating schools for their contribution to the issue of disabilities.

A three-minute video depicting EM Strasbourg Business School's disability policy was the challenge that five students on the Grande Ecole programme took up as part of the Toushanscène Competition. Organised by the Tremplin association, the competition aims to reward the best disability initiatives undertaken by business schools and higher education institutions.

Among the four prizes awarded by the association (best video, best initiative, the special jury award and the audience award), our students were granted the Best Initiative Prize in recognition* for the actions initiated within the school as well as the dynamics it has successfully implemented by getting both students and staff engaged.

EM Strasbourg Business School has set itself the objective of enabling diversity to thrive in all its teaching and research activities as well as in its corporate partnerships. With a view to facilitating the inclusion of students with disabilities, the School recruited a Disability Project Manager at the beginning of the 2012-2013 academic year. PhD student Sarah Richard, who fills the position, is tasked with leading all the actions put in place by the school to effectively address disabilities.

The five candidates from EM Strasbourg Business School also came second in the Audience Award ranking for the Toushanscène Competition, totalling 252 on-line votes via social networks.

* The jury was composed of members from the Tremplin association as well as representatives from the following companies: SNCF, Natixis, TF1 Action Diversité Handicap, Schneider Electric, GDF Suez, Groupe M6, Sopra Group, le Journal des grandes écoles et des universités, Deloitte.
