The 2016 HERMES Think-Pad

This will be an opportunity for students to improve their skills in Entrepreneurship and to get to know students from other HERMES universities. Over one hundred students have been invited to attend. As was the case last year, subsidies will be available for all students to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation.

For the first time, the HERMES Think-Pad will have two locations : Ca’ Foscari University/Treviso and the H-Farm business incubator. The first two days of the Think-Pad will take place at Ca’ Foscari with a series of conferences and lectures on Entrepreneurship. The students will also visit local companies and business incubators in the region.

The second part of the think-pad will take place at the H-Farm business incubator, where students will be able to work on entrepreneurship projects and learn how a business incubator works. The programme includes cultural visits in the Treviso region and other informal networking events, such as group dinners hosted by the HERMES network.

“It was a great opportunity to get to know other students from the Hermes network and to exchange ideas with them. The lectures were all very interesting, especially the last presentation was very exciting for me as it helped me understand how theoretical models are applied in a practical context. Overall it was a very satisfying event and I hope that other students will have the opportunity to participate in this seminar next year.”
