EM Strasbourg Business School and the Services-Mail-Parcels Division of the La Poste Group signed a partnership agreement on Tuesday, 24th June 2014. As from the beginning of the new academic year, the students and faculty on the post-graduate Master’s degree in Marketing and Event Management will be mobilised to co-produce, in collaboration with the Mail Department of La Poste, a case study investigating some communication issues experienced in a company enjoying high renown in Europe. The case study will be registered at the Centrale de cas et de média pédagogiques (CCMP – Case Studies and Teaching Media Publishing Center) at the beginning of 2015.
In academic year 2014/2015, the students enrolled on the post-graduate Master’s degree course in Marketing and Event Management at EM Strasbourg Business School will be involved in co-producing with La Poste Group a case study on « Media Mail Solutions » for a high-notoriety European company. The purpose of the case study is to train managers who are capable of bridging the gap between a strategy in line with new practices and consumption patterns and a company’s overall business strategy. «The new partnership will allow our students to equip themselves for event management career paths by providing adequate responses to concrete company needs. Through our actions and partnerships, we contribute to our students being attuned to working environment issues and better grasping them», EM Strasbourg Dean Isabelle Barth explained. From a corporate perspective, the partnership also offers many assets. « La Poste wishes to widely diffuse its communications solutions among tomorrow’s decision makers by presenting students with innovative but little-known activities within our Group », Mail Sales Academy Florent Caïd pointed out.
The company that will benefit from student assistance will receive recommendations on its communications strategy as well as operational recommendations. The selected company will set out its challenge to the students, and La Poste will expound its marketing, document management and logistics solutions. The students will then draw up a recommendation. Nicolas Faist, Sales Manager for Corporate Customers in Alsace for La Poste, specified that « tailored assistance will be provided to answer questions from students. Each working group will have the opportunity to liaise with an expert from La Poste and test the feasibility of its business solutions as work progresses. »
